It’s been a while since you completed our home remodel, and I want to let you know that we’re still loving it. We now have furniture in the living room and have added some decor throughout, so it looks so much nicer than when you last saw it.
Our daughter Megan, who lives in MN, is now starting the process of a major remodel at their home. If they lived closer, we would definitely recommend you for doing their project (it’s larger than what we had done). But, they live across the country so instead we’re just sharing our experience with her & Josh (they have so many questions) and also suggesting some must-haves that you recommended we add to our kitchen. For instance, the 48-inch Wolfe range (they both love to cook); the hide-away for the Kitchen Aid mixer (love that it remains plugged in so I can simply pop it up and start using it); the corner cabs w/rotating shelves; the multi-shelf, pull-out spice rack next to the stove; the place for neatly storing cookie sheets and baking pans; the pull-out shelf under the microwave; hidden/pull-out regular and recycle trash cans.
Having these conversations with Meg & Josh, reminded us of how much we like the results of our remodel. That’s why I thought I’d drop you a line to say THANKS!Karen N.
We highly recommend David Lanni Construction. We hired David to be our contractor for two major home remodel projects and we are so pleased with how everything turned out.
The first project was a complete remodel of our master bath. It is beautiful. The design elements are just what we had envisioned and the workmanship is top of the line. At the same time, we also had our other two bathrooms updated, new sinks, countertops, cabinet work, and tiled floors. As with the master bath, everything turned out just beautifully.
The second project was our kitchen. We didn’t question who was going to do it for us. After working with David and his crew and seeing the craftsmanship and expertise that went into the bathroom remodels, we knew we wanted David to do our kitchen remodel too. Again, we are very pleased with how everything came together. The tile, the granite countertops, the cabinets, really set off our new appliances and gave the kitchen a beautifully, updated look and feel. Not to mention the new Blanco sink and faucet that David recommended.
For both projects, David gave us a copy of the plan, timeline, cost estimate and went over it all with. He communicated with us as the work was being done so that we were kept informed as each phase was started. Like David, all those who worked in our home were knowledgeable and very respectful to us as well as to our home.
We found David to be easy to work with, knowledgeable in design, as well as an experienced craftsman. He listens to you and works hard to achieve what you have envisioned for your home.
David did a large kitchen, den and bathroom remodel for us last year and we were very pleased and remain so. We wanted to keep the cost down and avoid replacing our kitchen cabinets but weren’t sure that simply painting them would turn out well. We were pleasantly surprised when he helped with an “antiquing idea” for our existing cabinets, which turned out beautiful. He was on budget and on time. He was always respectful and available. He worked well with his subs and was frequently on site to oversee their work. We would not hesitate to strongly recommend David to anyone.Jean and Jim W.
Over the years, David Lanni Construction has been our “go to” contractor for all our home improvement and repair projects. David’s company has done three remodels for us, two bathrooms and a kitchen. As we were so pleased with the first project, remodel of our master bathroom, we decided to the company for future projects. We have also called upon David and his crew for minor repairs beyond our capabilities and they have performed them skillfully and efficiently.
David and his crew have found innovative ways to complete our projects as well as finding solutions to problems we were experiencing that did not involve their specialty of kitchen and bath remodels. As an example, I once mentioned to David that our driveway was flooding in our garage when we experienced heavy rainfall. David thought about the problem for a while and came up with a unique system to drain water off the driveway and pump it onto the street.
When it has been necessary to bring sub-contractors onto the project, they have been very experienced and skilled workers who had worked with David Lanni for many years. I was impressed that each of them expressed their respect for David and his company based upon his insistence on quality work with attention to detail and cleanliness.
On each project we have been extremely pleased not only with the work and the care taken to achieve our desired result, but with the cooperative and pleasant attitude of the craftsmen who performed it.
I highly recommend David Lanni for any remodeling job — large or small.
I was suffering through the horrors of an original remodel of my early 20th century home by another contractor. I was at my wit’s end and didn’t know where to turn. A house painter referred me to David. David agreed to take over the project — no small task when he was unaware of what the previous contractor had done to complicate the job.
David and his team were wonderful. He has an incredible eye for color and design. More importantly, he treated my home like he would his own. He took the utmost care in everything that he did — which included a bathroom and kitchen remodel, as well as laying down wood flooring. I wanted the wood floors to be a particular color. He matched it exactly. He sketched out a beautiful design for my kitchen cabinets. They are gorgeous. Everyone who comes into my home comments on the cabinets. Perhaps the most amazing aspect of the remodel, is the home looks restored to its original Craftsman style beauty. People coming into my home believe it to be the original bathroom and kitchen.
After going through a horrible experience with another contractor, I was so grateful to have David into my home. He is a great guy, and he has a wonderful family. I have had other projects for David, which have befallen me at particularly stressful times. David and his wife Carmen have jumped right in to take care of me and my house.
I have recommended him to friends and office colleagues. He has remodeled the homes of three friends and repaired another friend’s home.
If you call David Lanni Construction first, you will save yourself calling anyone else. I’ve now had a bathroom remodel, a kitchen remodel and an addition built on my home along with small jobs around the home by DLC. This is now the only company I call. The price they quote is the price at the end of the project. They do the work like it is their own home. I’ve been very pleased that each project has been completed prior to their original time estimate.Christine T.

David had been recommended by several craftsmen that were exhibiting their trades at the Sacramento Home and Garden Show in 2011. We took this as a good sign because if the subs were recommending someone, it means they trust him. Still, we did our due diligence and interviewed several general contractors. We contracted with David Lanni Construction because he had the best combination of price, honesty, helpfulness and references.
We had a complete kitchen remodel – all cabinets, appliances, ceilings, lighting and floors. We also had David redo all of our downstairs tile floors. David provided a detailed schedule and cost estimate and helped us pick out fixtures, appliances, granite and tile. All of the work was completed on schedule and the workmanship and quality was excellent. David addressed every issue and problem immediately, even those that were our fault, even coming to our house and making sure the work was done properly. Through his careful management, the complete project was actually finished for less than the cost estimates and our budget by several thousand dollars.
David’s crew and subcontractors all did an excellent job and are courteous and very clean. We were so impressed by the work progress that we actually added several jobs – putting in an exterior door and painting our fireplace mantle.
I would not hesitate to use David Lanni Construction for any future projects or to recommend his company to anyone. He made a daunting project seem easy.
